the deck definately doesn't suck, but i think it needs work. if i am right, than i think it is definately trying to keep attacking to the minimum and kill with a combo of consume spirit and shortfang. i think that rend fleshes need to make more appearances, as do ensnaring bridges, and that the lenses need to be removed. the only way that lens is great is if it comes out early, but it robs you of a few turns of development. with all of the artifact hate around(even affinity packs it these days), it will almost certainly die before you can benefit from it. if you end up with the bridges, i think razormane masticore is also worth a shot, becasue it has synergy with the bridge and can take care of those pesky small critters

for the same reason that lenses need to come out ensnaring bridge and masticore are both fairly poor metagame choices - however i disagree that any of these artifacts are poor choices (if you think the speed outweighs the hinderence of their hate) because you are running a substansial amount of artifact not all of your targets will get hit therefore many of them will live. so if a few others are added such as sensei's divinging top instead of plunge and some black artifact lands then you will be able to play in a way that draw their hate onto the target you want. on the flip side to avoid the hate completely you would need to take all of the artifacts out. as long as you decide fully and not in the middle(which will match up each one of you artifacts with a hate spell) you should do pretty well with this deck

i agree with D in the sense that the Masticore was a crappy choice and the main points of his post, but i really would recommend against the Lens and the Orrery, if only because the format is way too fast against them right now. i think that the discard theme is awesome, but against a retarded deck like affinity, their hand will be empty and the last thing you need is your third turn play being deximated by a shatter or some other stupid thing

I don't think it has enough power to so anything in Standard. It needs speed, and a lot of it. It needs a punch, a big one. Where are your Horobi, your Kokusho, your MD Extractions? Crucial cards, especially for a slow deck like MBC. Night of Souls' Betrayal would serve you well, as would other things along those lines like Hideous Laughter. Plunge is a bad card, and there's no way around it. Maybe it could be good with Zubera. Overall, MBC in the past few blocks has been a cookie-cutter 4-of deck. Yukora is a must. You're just running the tier-2 MBC cards. I don't mean to be evil, but I'd go look up a list online. That'd help you at least define a good list to jack...
Rating: 2.5/10

It does not. Notice how I said, "effects like it." NOT JUST THE NoSB. So get over it. I'm not a fanatic, I just recognize a good card when I see it. I'm not throwing it in every deck evar, like Cranial Extraction.

just the sb.
yes, effects like it can be very good, i will admit that. however, i really dislike NOSB becuase only one can be in play at a time and i think that that is very inconvenient and oftentimes just plain bad.
but i might apologize......if you count elipses as an apology

in most of the decks in standard, the -1/-1 is really all you need, of course against control it alot less apealing but if you play 1 and then play another you give everything -2/-2. before they are destroyed. takes away U/G best kill condition in meloku, rapes white weenie which rarely gets a glorious anthem third turn always, stops green from abusing sakura tribe elder, its a good card regarldless of being a legend.

wait, the come into play/state based effects wouldn't occur, would they? i thought that they just died as soon as they were played, before the effect took place.

very well, i shall hereby admit that NOSB does not suck in every situation and is on the borderline of being "good." Remember that i said this Jameson, because it shan't be admitted often. i think that several cards are far better, but there you go
