It's gotta' end somehow... sometime...
For the people who still play magic (enough that they buy a few packs here and there... or more), don't you think that Wizards of the Coast is going to run out of ideas sometime, and end up just doing editions every once in a while? Like how long can they go on for until there's just no cool new card anymore...

yeah. Magic is gonna be dead within the month, what with sales being the highest they've ever been and all.
And technically, you could say the same thing about books...shouldn't they have run out of ideas by now?

actually, what they will probably end up doing is slowly rephasing old mechanics back in so that new kids can get cool cards and older players can play with old favorites. a recent example of this is cycling. it originally came out in Urza block but they reprinted it in Onslaught block with some cool new tricks and abilities. they could probably go on doing that for twenty or thirty years, and in the meantime they will be inventing new stuff so that the cycle could continue forever
