Thrashing Whompus
Thrashing Wumpus Creature - Beast 3/3 B: Thrashing Wumpus deals 1 damage to each creature and each player.
+
Kusari-Gama Artifact - Equipment Equipped creature has "2: This creature gets +1/+0 until end of turn." Whenever equipped creature deals damage to a blocking creature, Kusari-Gama deals that much damage to each other creature defending player controls. Equip 3 (3: Attach to target creature you control. Equip only as a sorcery.) + Taunting Elf Creature - Elf 0/1 All creatures able to block Taunting Elf do so.
Thrashing Wumpus + Kusari-Gama + Taunting Elf
I just had to do this when I reread the Gama. Its widespread damage triggers when a blocking creature is dealt damage, the creature can be Gifted and the Gama is still triggered.
So, Gama the Wumpus and attack with the Elf. All their creatures block and you pump the Wumpus for 2 damage. The Gama's ability triggers for each blocking creature so, if they have five creatures, each takes ten damage. If any of your ceatures survive, which is not hard, then your creatures attack unopposed.

interesting, we should design a deck based around it. BG is a good place to start

this deck seems very mana intensive so i think you might want to add chrome moxes and land search and stuff maybe some cards that will allow you to control the board until you can put out the entire combo, and maybe vamp tutors and other search cards

Life is right in that you will want to get as much acceleration as you can, but i think there is a better budget way to accomplish this. Kodama's reach, Journey of Discovery, and SAKURA-TRIBE ELDER are all great land searchers that can be obtained on the cheap

Hows abouts something like this:
Land: 12x-Forest 11x-Swamp 1x-Gaea's Cradle
Creatures 4x-Taunting Elf 4x-Sakura Tribe Elder 4x-Eternal Witness 4x-Initiates of the Ebon Hand 4x-Thrashing Wumpus
SPells 2x-Beacon of Creation 2x-Vitalizing Wind 4x-Kusari Gama 4x-Cabal Therapy 4x-Kodama's Reach
you have the potential for lots of critters via beacon and other quick creatures, land fetching is easy, land can be filtered with Initiates, and Cabal therapy is there becasue you will likely have a zillion creatures and therefore can strip your opponents hand away.
as for the vitalizing wind: imagine it. you have 8 1/1 beacon tokens, a taunting elf, and a wumpus. you have a cradle, eight forests, and three swamps(for imaginations sake). you have just equipped the thing on the wumpus, and then you drop Vitalizing wind. all of your beacon tokens are now 8/8. then you swing for a zillion unblocked damage because your 7/8 taunting elf can get all of their blockers.
it be an alternate win condition

I would say Sword of Light and Shadow, because that's a good two-card combo with Wumpus. Activate it a bunch of times, clear the board, then swing free, gain 3, recur a creature. Maybe with Night's Whisper, it could be a good combo. Draw cards for life, gain life, draw cards for life, gain life. Whooo.

the BW sword could be good, but what would you replace in the deck to fit it in?

An Initiates, a Gama, and a Forest.

i don't know all of those cards are actually important to the deck

well, see, thing is, the sword becomes a whole alternate threat by itself. i think that by reducing a synergetic creature's slots, a combo piece's slots, and lowering the land count in a deck with witnesses, elders, AND reaches, we can increase the chance of a better threat on the table while decreasing the chances of a bad topdeck.

i think 2 swords wouldnt be that bad, but i don't know what to take out because i think htat most of the deck is integral to its operation.
however, i do think that Spirit Link would be worth investing in. that thing is nuts on a wumpus
